Where is the glove?


I was originally planning to have this blog contain only my film photos, but that seems redundant, given that that's what my Flickr site is for. So, here's a shot I rediscovered today while going through some old stuff. Shot digitally with a 1Ds Mk II, using a 500mm lens, at the 2008 NCAA lacrosse championships at Gillette Stadium.

Taken with the Agfa Isolette I, which is a damn cool-looking camera that is a complete pain-in-the-ass to use -- for instance, the viewfinder is about the size of a molecule. But I sure do like the bokeh....

A couple of beautiful ladies enjoying the spring blossoms at the Arnold Arboretum. Taken with the Ricohflex VII on Fuji 160 film. When I first bought the Ricohflex from ebay, its focusing was off -- it focused a couple of feet behind the subject. Very frustrating -- BUT I was able to fix it thanks to this incredibly helpful post:

The hills above Chico, CA

Riding in my grandfather-in-law's beautifully restored Sunbeam Alpine. Taken with his old Rollei 35 S that he let me have, on 400 film -- pretty sure the settings were f16 at 1/125. Tiny little camera, that Rollei, and built like a tank -- nice fast lens, too. The film loading is damn tough, though...
